Microfiction: Stolen heart

Note: This is a ‘drabble’ – microfiction of less than 100 words.

 

She stole my heart and never returned it. Sometimes I wonder if she ever takes it out and plays with it, or if it sits in a jar on a shelf in a forgotten room where the only semblance of joy are the dust motes dancing in a stray beam of sunlight.
